Barr was the 2010 Gateway Conference Offensive Player of the Year as well as a First-Team All-Conference member. He was the 2010 runner-up for the Walter Payton Award, given to the top offensive player in FCS and was named to The Sports Network Second Team.

He holds the program record for most rushing yards by a WIU quarterback in a single game (125 vs. Sam Houston, Sept. 18, 2010) and season (449, 2010) as well as the most rushing TDs by a quarterback in a season (seven, 2010) and career (14, 2010).

Barr also holds the record for passing yards in a season (3410, 2010); most touchdown passes in a season (27, 2010); and the fifth-most career passing yards (6976) in program history. He has the second-most passing yards in a game (452 vs. Indiana State, Oct. 30, 2010) he also completed 22-25 passes vs. Illinois State for an .880 completing percentage, the highest single-game performance while also throwing a for a single-game best, six touchdowns.

He has the most total offense in a single season (2010: 3859 yards; 3410 passing yards, 449 rushing); Most total offense per game (296.8 ypg, 2010) and the second-most all-purpose yards in a career (7882).

Academically, Barr received the President's Academic Excellence Award, Lincoln Academy Student Laureate Award (2009) and First Team All-Academic All-Conference (2008-2010).
