LeRoy A. Ufkes (deceased), 1996 - Ufkes was a long-time contributor and booster of the WIU athletic department. A lifelong resident of nearby Carthage, Ufkes and his wife, Joan, who graduated from Western in 1954, were loyal supporters of the Leathernecks and Westerwinds for more than 25 years.

Their donation in 2014 led to the new floor getting installed inside Western Hall, and the playing court was named the LeRoy A. Ufkes Court.
