Ed Gvazdinskas, 1994 - A pitcher for the WIU baseball team from 1971-74. As team captain, he was a Second Team All-American pick in 1974 and was voted team MVP. He recorded the most wins in a season and led the nation in Division II with 13 victories and was known as one of the most dominating pitchers Western has ever had. Ed still holds numerous WIU pitching records.
