Joe Dykstra, 1994 - Known as Mr. Basketball at WIU and still holds the NCAA Division I consecutive free throw record at 64. He ranks second all-time for most free throw attempts in NCAA Division I history (663), and most all-time for free throws made (587).
Joe owns numerous WIU records and ranks in the 'Top 10' of many others. He was a four-time Mid-Continent Conference First Team honoree and was twice named Mid-Con Player of the Year. He was also tabbed a 1980 NCAA All-Region selection and received honorable mention on the 1981 Sporting News All-American team.
