Cherie Wells, 1993 - Cherie initiated gymnastics programs for local youths following a stellar WIU coaching career which saw her named Westerwinds Coach of the Year for the 1981-82 season. The three-year WIU all-around gymnast recorded high honors in the AIAW state championships.
