Duo named All Conference Outdoor

SIOUX FALLS, S.D. -- The Summit League officials unveiled the 2023 Outdoor Track and Field Most Outstanding Performers of the Championships and the 117 All-League team members Friday.

Western Illinois' Toriano Tate and Alessandro Belluz were each named All-League for their performances at last week's meet. Tate won the men's long jump with a best effort of 24 feet, seven and one-quarter inches. Belluz was honored for his second-place performance in the long jump (23-11.75) as well as second-place finish in the triple jump (47-6.5).

South Dakota's Marshall Faurot was named the Most Outstanding Performer of the Championship for the men while North Dakota State's Nell Graham achieved the accolade for the women's side.

The Most Outstanding Performer of the Championship is determined by a vote of the participating head coaches and is based upon the student-athletes' performance during the Summit League Outdoor Track and Field Championships.

To receive the All-League accolade a student-athlete must finish in the top three in an event category at the league championship meet.
