MACOMB, IL – Dana Surwillo and Kenneth Cooley earned weekly honors from the Ohio Valley Conference following standout performances at the NIU Huskie Classic.
Cooley was named Male Freshman Athlete of the Week after winning the 100 meters in a personal-best 10.43 seconds, the eighth-fastest mark in Western Illinois University history. He also placed second in the 200 meters with a personal-best time of 21.32 seconds, moving to sixth all-time in program history.
Surwillo earned Female Field Athlete of the Week honors after clearing a personal-best 4.00 meters in the pole vault to claim the event title. Her mark now ranks second all-time in program history.
