Anna Deets Earns Preseason All-Ohio Valley Conference Honors

MACOMB, IL – The Ohio Valley Conference announced their Preseason All-Ohio Valley Conference Team and preseason polls on Tuesday morning. The Leathernecks were selected in 10th place, and Anna Deets earned a spot on the Preseason All-Ohio Valley Conference Team.

After earning All-Summit League Honorable Mention as a junior, Anna Deets has been named Preseason All-Ohio Valley Conference Team to start her senior campaign. Deets, a native of Mason City, Iowa, averaged 12.4 ppg and 4.4 rpg last season. A threat from everywhere on the court, Deets made a name for herself with 49 made three-pointers a year ago.

Western Illinois was selected 10th out of 11 teams in the Ohio Valley with 49 points. WIU sits ahead of Lindenwood and behind Morehead State. After making an NCAA tournament appearance, Tennessee Tech was picked to win the league with 196 points, collecting 16 first-place votes.
