The Return to Grand Valley
The Western Illinois track and field teams are heading to Grand Valley State for the second time this season; the upcoming trip will be a two-day affair at the Big Meet (Feb. 12-13). 

Hosted inside the Kelly Family Sports Center, the meet will be broadcast on the Grand Valley Sports Network, with each event having its own stream. Individual event streams cost $3.95, and the entire package is $7.95. Purchasing the entire broadcast allows viewers to rotate between all five streams (track, pole vault, throws, men's high jump/triple jump/long jump, and women's high jump/triple jump/long jump).

Winner, Winner
Three Leathernecks secured event wins in the season-opening meet at the GVSU Bill Clinger Classic. Newcomers Paulina Wuestefeld and Richard Brown made a splash in the mile run (5:08.37) and 800-meter (1:51.50), respectively, while senior Amelia Peterson hit the 11.84-meter mark in the triple jump. 

The meet was especially good for Brown and Peterson, who not only set personal records but also re-wrote Western's all-time indoor lists.

Summit Performances
Western Illinois is well-represented on the Summit League's 2020 indoor performance list with six Top-10 efforts. Amelia Peterson currently possesses the league's best triple jump marking.
