MACOMB, IL- The Western Illinois Women's golf team wrapped up the MSU/Payne Stewart Invitational this afternoon, finishing the event in 11th place as a team with a standing of 1008 (+156).
Sophia Thorne led the team in scoring as she finished with a score of +18 for the tournament, tying for 33rd. Thorne's best round came in round 2 on Monday afternoon, where she shot a 74 and had 1 birdie on hole 7.
Cianna Law would finish just behind Thorne, shooting a +39 for the tournament and placing 59th. Law's best round also came in round 2, where she shot a 76 that included 2 birdies. Dina Khvastovic shot +45 for the tournament, followed by Libby Larkin (+50).
The Leathernecks are back in action October 6th and 7th as they will head to Tulsa, Oklahoma, for the Windy City Classic.
