Veteran Pitching
Jake Armstrong led the Leathernecks in wins this past weekend. The senior picked up his first win as a Leatherneck, pitching 5.1 strong innings. Armstrong struck out five Screaming Eagles well, only allowing two runs. Tyler Kapraun led WIU starting pitchers in strikeouts as he retired seven USI hitters.

Strong Bullpen
WIU used seven guys out of the bullpen last weekend. Jack Bell saw the most time appearing in three games, pitching a total of 3.1 innings. Cade Herrmann, Cam Howard, and Jackson Burk made multiple appearances for the Leathernecks. Herrmann picked up his first save of the season with the 5-2 win in game two.
