  • Jack Sievers finished a perfect 2-2 at the plate with a walk and an RBI against SIUE. Sievers has been a consistent hitter throughout the season for the Leathernecks. In 27 appearances, he's batting .263 and has driven in 11 runs.
  • Nick Mitchell and Kory Olsen have been thieves on the base pads for Western Illinois. Mitchell leads the Summit League with 21 stolen bases and is coming off a three-steal game versus SIUE. Olsen ranks fourth in the conference with 12.
  • Chandler Fochs hasn't let opposing hitters get free passes this season. Fochs has allowed just 10 walks on the year, ranked third-fewest in the Summit League.

  • First baseman Gage Cruz has made some highlight plays this season and is ranked as one of the best defensive players in the conference. Four of the top-six pitchers in ERA in the conference belong to Omaha.
