The Leathernecks now have two Summit League series wins under the belt and both were against North Dakota State.

Ryan Dunne received the starting nod in game one's 7-2 victory, Javin Drake had a career day in game two's 3-1 setback, and Ian Koch tossed a one-hitter in Sunday's 4-0 shutout success.

Game One

Six straight hits crowned by a two-RBI home run by Alex Dorethy helped the Leathernecks to five runs in the third inning
Ryan Dunne pitched seven innings with eight strikeouts and six hits

Game Two

Javin Drake pitched a season-high seven innings with a career-high nine strikeouts
Mitch Ellis homered to right field in the ninth inning

Game Three

Ian Koch fanned a career-high 10 batters (tying for most strikeouts by a Leatherneck pitcher this season) in eight innings
CJ Schaeffer and Deion Thompson's third inning home runs pushed Western ahead, 3-0

Head coach Ryan Brownlee is two wins away from 100 career successes. He has the fourth most wins in program history, currently in his sixth season at Western.

Scouting the Opposition
The Cougars visit Western with a record of 10-28, and are coming off a 17-6 win over UT Martin.

In the previous meeting between SIUE and WIU (April 11), Ellis recorded an RBI-double in the 10th inning to secure a 4-3 victory.

On Deck
Western will trek to Tulsa, Okla., this Friday for game one of a three-game set against Oral Roberts.
