Biography

SENIOR (2018): Appeared in the first three games of the season before missing 1.5 months due to injury ... returned to the starting lineup at SIUE and helped the Leathernecks to a 4-3 extra-inning win with a game-winning RBI double in the 10th ... hit .324 on the year with 33 hits, five doubles, a triple and two home runs ... added 10 RBI .. maintained a .451 slugging percentage and a .386 on-base percentage ... appeared in 27 games this season with 26 starts (all at third base)

JUNIOR (2017): Summit League Academic Honor Roll... Played in all 50 games and started 49 times... batted .310 on the year, third-best average... five doubles, two triples and a home run... 19 runs scored and 17 RBI... 15 walks... 6-9 in stolen bases... .935 fielding percentage at third base... batted .354 in Summit League play with a .385 on-base percentage... made his debut and started in all four games of the opening weekend series... recorded a hit in each game, including two in his debut versus Texas Tech... two hits and a RBI at Southeast Missouri... scored two runs in game two of the Dayton series, walking three times that contest... three multi-hit games at Omaha, totaling 9 hits in 13 at-bats on the weekend with four runs scored and three RBI... named Summit League Player of the Week (4/10)... 5-for-13 against South Dakota State at home with two runs and a RBI... recorded four hits in the Fort Wayne series, including three in the series finale... went 2-for-3 at Illinois State with a run scored... opened the SDSU road series with a pair of 3-hit games, finishing 6-for-12 with five RBI and a run scored... two hits and two RBI in the series finale at NDSU... recorded a hit in each game of The Summit League Tournament.

AT HEARTLAND CC: Last year, Ellis batted .313 with eight doubles, a triple and home run at Heartland CC. He stole 12 bases, drove in 22 runs, scored 34 runs and posted a .445 on-base percentage. Ellis played in 54 of the 58 games and started 41 times. He won a Rawlings Gold Glove during his career at Heartland, and helped the 2016 team to a 43-15 record.
