PEORIA, Ill. – Western Illinois women's golf finished action in the 2016 Bradley Invitational Sunday afternoon (April 3) in a tie for fourth place out of 13 teams. The Leathernecks finished the two-round event with a 653 after carding a 330 in round one and a 323 in round two.

"We had some great rounds in the extreme wind these last two days," said head coach Lia Biehl Lukkarinen. "Allie and Anna both finished in the top 10 and we jumped from 6th to 4th as a team in the final round. Playing in this wind helps us to get ready for The Summit League Championships and it was great to finish fourth out of 13 teams.

WIU had two golfers place in the 'Top 10'. Sophomore Allie Leingang finished in a tie for seventh place after carding a 79 in both rounds for a 158. One stroke behind Leingang was junior Anna Cullinan who tied for ninth place and finished with a 159 after posting round scores of 83 and 76.

Also in the 'Top 25' was Alex Krehbiel who tied for 21st place with a 164. The sophomore hit an 83 in round one and an 81 in round two.
