BOULDER CITY, NEV- The WIU Women's Golf team wrapped up the Jackrabbit Invitational on Tuesday afternoon finishing in 14th place as a team. They finished the tournament shooting 948 (+84).
Olivia Kerr finished the tournament tied for 44th place shooting +16 for the tournament. Kerr shot a 76 (+4) in round one, and a 74 (+2) in round three, which was her best round of the tournament. In round one, she had two birdies on the front nine on hole two, which was a 508 yard par-five, and hole eight, a 168 yard par-three. She would also birdie on the back nine on a par-four, finishing the first round with three total birdies. In round three, Kerr had two birdies with one on the front nine and one on the back nine. Western Illinois shot 310 as a team in round three, which was the best out of all three rounds.
Rounding out the scores for the Leathernecks was Mia Scrimgeour (+17), Abby Hunter (+28), Gabriela Galindo Rubio (+29), and Sophia Thorne (+33).
WIU will return to action on April 4th and 5th as they will be hosting the WIU intercollegiate in Silvis, Illinois.
