PRIMM. Nev. - The Western Illinois women's golf team got a preview of the Summit League Championship course as it participated in the Jackrabbit Invitational in Primm, Nev. The Leathernecks improved each round and finished seventh with a 923 (312-307-304).

Oral Roberts led the entire way and took home the team title with a 872 (296-290-287). North Dakota State's Amy Anderson carded a 213 (71-74-68) to win the tournament.

"I was pleasead to shoot a team low in only our second event of the spring and to have Lindsay and Tara play well," said head coach Lia Biehl Lukkarinen.

"We have some work to do to be ready to score better at this course for the Summit League Championships. We will work on 100 yards and in for our next events," stated Lukkarinen.

Lindsay Wandrey was strong for the Leathernecks and finished in a tie for 14th with a score of 225 (78-75-72).

Tara Peterman fired a 227 (76-77-74) to finish tied for 19th.

Claire Gursh came in the clubhouse with a 235 (77-79-79) .

Emily Brink used 241 (81-81-79) shots over the the three rounds and Kristi Tschudin ended her day with a 243 (84-76-83).

Alexa Arent carded a 244 (80-81-83) and Nerissa Hetzel collected a score of 260 (87-90-83). Both were playing as individuals.
