Hardin places 14th at NCAA Track and Field West Regional

AUSTIN, Texas - Western Illinois junior Lawrence Hardin took 14th place of 34 competitors in the high jump at the 2009 NCAA Track and Field West Regional, Friday.

Hardin reached a season-high mark of 6-11.00 (2.11m) in the event as only the second competitor in the high jump at a regional in the history of the program.

Hardin fell just shy of qualifying for the NCAA Championship held in Eugene, Ore. as only the top-12 athletes advance, however, his mark becomes the top mark of any competitor in The Summit League for the 2009-10 outdoor season.
