Whether on the mound for the Leatherneck baseball team or in the classroom, Caden Kratz has been closing things down. So far this spring, Kratz has five saves and a .55 ERA for Western Illinois. He has recorded 19 strikeouts in 16.1 innings of work, making eight appearances.

Kratz has also been strong in the classroom, posting a 4.0 grade point average. The right-handed pitcher from Mason City, Iowa is majoring in Exercise Science.
