Western Illinois women's swimmer Lizzie Hollopeter (Naperville, Ill./Matea Valley) has been named Papa John's Scholar-Athlete of the Week Monday (Jan. 26) for her performance in the pool this past week, and continued success in the classroom.

Hollopeter picked up a pair of event wins in a dual meet against Omaha on Friday (Jan. 23). The junior touched the wall in the 100 Back in 1:00.98, just shy of her in season best. 

Hollopeter would later claim the 200 Back in 2:11.17 and help Western to a second place finish in the 200 Free Relay. 

In the classroom, Hollopeter maintains a 3.663 grade point average while majoring in athletic training.
