Sarah Hall (Granger, Ind./St. Joeseph's) was named Papa John's 'Scholar-Athlete of the Week' on Monday (Oct. 27).Â
The senior scored three goals over the weekend, leading Western Illinois to a 1-1 record. Hall scored the second goal against Oral Roberts, which momentarily gave the Leathernecks a 2-0 lead over the Golden Eagles on Friday (Oct. 24). ORU scored twice in the second half to bring the match level before Hall scored her second game-winner of the season and eighth of her career in the 75th minute. Hall's eight game-winners is second in program history.
Hall continued her excellent form on Sunday (Oct. 26), scoring in the 83rd minute as Western pushed IUPUI to the final whistle in a 2-1 loss.Â
The Granger, Ind. native took only seven shots in 180 minutes, recording six points. In her career, Hall has scored 15 goals, taking sole possession of fifth place all-time in Western Illinois history. Her 33 points is good for sixth all-time at Western.
The senior was rewarded for her efforts by earning her first career Summit Leage 'Offensive Player of the Week' Award.
Hall majors in Recreation, Parks and Tourism Administration and owns a 3.897 GPA.
