Western Illinois University Athletics

Tim Trilk has been selected as the Hampton Inn Male Scholar Athlete of the Month. While earning a 3.89 GPA, he has 14 saves this season. 

What is your favorite part about playing at Western Illinois?
The atmosphere walking into Western Hall and seeing all the athletes. It feels like a great community here. 
 
Best advice ever received?
To have a short memory. As an athlete or in general, it's important to know that things always get better. 
 
Favorite thing about Coach Johnson?
He tells you how it is. 
 
Favorite memory at Western Illinois?
Easily last year when we were at Oral Roberts. We ended scoring with 15 seconds left on the clock to clinch a spot in the Summit League tournament. 
 
Biggest hobby outside of sports?
Cooking. My favorite dishes to make are fine dining like french cuisine, stuff that people look at and go "whoa"! 

What are your plans going forward?
Number one plan is to join the professional ranks of soccer but outside of that, I want to be a chef and work up the ranks to owning restaurants in the future. 
 
Favorite food?
Steak and mashed potatoes. 
 
Sport you're best at other than soccer?
I wish it was golf but it's probably basketball. 
 
Do you have a pregame routine?
Not really but I have the same playlist that listen to start and finish before every game. 
 
Favorite class or subject?
Food Service Financial Systems. You get to see all the numbers with money and actually figure out profits, revenue and all that stuff.
