MACOMB, IL - The Western Illinois University women's tennis program had a strong end to their fall season, pulling off some wins at the OVC Fall Invitational.
The Leathernecks scored major wins in their singles matches. Chloe Routier won 4-6,7-6 (8-6),1-0 (10-6) against SIUE, and Richardlyne won 6-3, 6-3 against Lindenwood. Mana Fawcett won 6-1, 6-3, 1-0 (10-7) against Bryant. Jessica Hess won 6-4, 6-7 (5-8), 1-0 (12-10) against Tennessee State. Denver Johnson won 6-2, 6-3 against SEMO, with Anna-Evelina Trush winning 6-0, 6-4 against USI. Maarja Leinstrep won 1-6, 6-2, 1-0 (10-5) against SIUE
For their doubles matches, the Leathernecks continued to score wins, with Richardlyne Francis and Jessica Hess winning 6-3 against SIUE, and Mana Fawcett and Nour Gueblaoui winning their first match 6-3 against Tennessee State, and 6-3 against SEMO.
