MACOMB, Ill. – Western Illinois University Athletics has released the 2025–26 women's bowling schedule, marking the debut season for the program. Under the leadership of Head Coach Derek Sapp, the Leathernecks will compete exclusively on the road this year, traveling to face some of the top collegiate bowling programs in the nation.

The historic first season begins with a scrimmage on October 5, giving the team an early opportunity to compete before entering a challenging tournament slate later in the month. From there, WIU will travel across the Midwest and beyond, gaining valuable experience and building a foundation for the program's future success.

The addition of women's bowling reflects WIU's continued commitment to expanding athletic opportunities and supporting student-athletes in emerging sports. This inaugural campaign not only introduces the Leathernecks to NCAA bowling competition but also brings new visibility to the sport within the WIU community.
