MEET HIGHLIGHTS
Western Illinois will open the season with the women's throws on Friday, starting with the shot put. Friday will be focused exclusively on throws, while the rest of the event groups – jumps, sprints, pole vault, and middle- and long-distance events – will compete on Saturday.

Athletes across the jumps, sprints, and pole vault events will be competing for the first time this season after putting in hard work throughout the fall. Middle-distance and distance runners will look to capitalize on the base they built during cross country before heading into winter training.

The goal of the meet is to set the tone for the season, identify areas for improvement, and gauge how the Leathernecks stack up against competition before a solid winter training block.
