Springfield, Mo - The Western Illinois Women's golf team wrapped up the MSU/Payne Stewart Invitational this afternoon finishing the event in 10th place as a team with a score of 948 (+96).
Mia Scrimgeour led the team in scoring as she finished with a score of +23 for the tournament placing T42. Scrimgeour's best round came in round 2 on Monday afternoon where she shot a 77 and had 3 birdies, including back-to-back birdies on holes 12 and 13.
Olivia Kerr would finish just behind Scrimgeour shooting a +24 for the tournament and placing T46. Kerr's best round also came in round 2 where she shot a 74 that included 2 birdies. Gabriela Galindo Rubio shot +27 for the tournament followed by Olivia Mccrystal (+29) and Abby Hunter (+30).
The Leathernecks are back in action next week on September 16 and 17 as they will head to Munice, Indiana for the Brittany Kelly Classic.
