Raglin and Adams End Season at NCAA West Region

Adams 19th in triple jump, Raglin 37th in long jump

FAYETTEVILLE, Arkansas – It was a strong end to a strong season for a pair of Leatherneck women this weekend.

Renee Raglin and Aliyah Adams had their seasons end at the NCAA West Region Outdoor Track and Field Meet after two big seasons.

On Saturday, Adams saved her best effort of the season for her last jump in her last meet. Coming into the final round, Adams found herself in 37th place. But a triple jump of 43 feet, one inch moved her up to 19th overall and second in the WIU women's outdoor triple jump record book, besting her previous best of 42-6.75.

Adams ends her season as one of the most decorated track and field athletes in WIU history, being named the Ohio Valley Conference Indoor and Outdoor Female Athlete of the Meet at the league championships.

In the women's long jump on Thursday night, Renee Raglin had her season end, finishing in 37th.

The Leatherneck had a best effort of 19 feet, 9.5 inches. After leaping 18-4.25 in her first attempt, Raglin faulted on her second. On her third and final attempt, she posted her best effort of the day.

Raglin ends her season with the program's second-longest long jump and with an Ohio Valley Conference long jump championship.
