Trailing Western Illinois' offense started to grove as Addi Brownfield and Anna Deets combined for the first seven Leathernecks points, giving them a 7-6 lead. Back down four 11-7, Raegan McCown knocked down a pair of jump shots, tying the first quarter at 11.
