WIU Heads to Mississippi for Final Fall Tournament

Last Time Out | WIU tied for a first-place finish at +8, shooting a tournament-low 301 (-4) on the final day. Natalie Hooper also placed first as an individual shooting a school record 68 in the final round. Hooper would have a phenomenal last game. She would get a birdie to drop on hole six and then, two holes later, find her first eagle of the tournament. Hooper would end the round with two more birdies to finish four under. As a team, WIU placed first in scoring on par 4's and the eagles in the tournament. They finished second overall in birdies with 29.

Words From Coach Lia | "We are looking forward to playing this new venue. The field is challenging, and the course will be as well," said WIU Director of Golf Lia Biehl Lukkarinen. "I'm excited to see what the team can accomplish in our last event!"

Tournament Format | The Judson golf tournament is a 54-hole tournament that begins at 8:30 a.m. on Monday. At Hattiesburg Country Club, 36 holes will be played on day one and 18 on day two. Hattiesburg Country Club is a Par 72 - 6,136.

Competition | South Alabama, Belmont, FAU, UAB, ULM, Central Arkansas, Cincinnati, Jacksonville State, and Southern Miss.
