MACOMB, Ill. - Western Illinois baseball will return to play for the first time since Friday when it travels to Bradley Wednesday for a 6 p.m. ballgame.

Last Outing
At the conclusion of the sixth inning, the Leathernecks trailed Omaha by one run, but a three-run seventh frame allowed the visitors to separate for a final score of 8-5.

Bailey Montgomery finished the day with a team-high two RBIs. He tied the game at 1-1 in the first inning with an RBI-ground out before singling through the left side to bring in the 5-4 score.

This Spring …
Eight games have been canceled this season due to inclement weather including the final two in Western's series this past weekend against Omaha.

Last season, just three games were canceled.

Scouting the Opposition
After a sweep over fellow Missouri Valley Conference competition Evansville, Bradley will play host to WIU with a record of 20-9.

The teams last met on April 4 where Drue Galassi and Deion Thompson each homered in the 14-7 setback.

On Deck
Due to prolonged winter weather, the Leathernecks will face North Dakota State on the campus of Omaha-Nebraska. Action begins Friday, and all three games in the series will start at 1 p.m. inside Seymour Smith Park.
