  • Drue Galassi helped Western to a 1-0 edge in the first inning, scoring from third as the Jackrabbits caught Johnathan Fleek in a rundown situation
  • CJ Schaeffer singled down the right field line to score the first of two runs in the bottom of the eighth; his two-out single up the middle loaded the bases in the 12th
  • Colan Borchers faced seven batters and struck out three in two innings of action; he allowed just one hit
  • Western hasn't played 12 innings since the 2015 season when it took on SDSU for a 9-4 victory on the road

Bailey Montgomery saw his three-game hitting streak snapped against South Dakota State, but he has reached base in 11 straight games.
