Lance Lenoir Signs With Dallas Cowboys

Western’s all-time leading receiver signs contract

DALLAS, Texas – The all-time leading receiver in Western Illinois football history has signed a contract with the Dallas Cowboys. Lance Lenoir joined the Cowboys after officially signing the deal on Monday (June 12).

A three-time All-Missouri Valley Football Conference selection, Lenoir earned Third Team All-American honors this past year by HERO Sports and STATS. He ended his career as a Leatherneck with 273 receptions, 3,796 yards, 28 touchdowns, 14 100-yard receiving games, two 200-yard games and 41 consecutive games with a reception – all Western Illinois career records. His receptions record also broke the MVFC mark last year and he finished third in yardage. In all, he is listed among the 'Top 5' receiving leaders on 29 occasions for single-game, season and career records.

The durable Lenoir played in all 48 games of his Leatherneck career, starting in 47 of those games. Lenoir's career receptions broke the MVFC all-time record and he ended his impressive career third all-time in yards. He helped the Leathernecks rebuild the program, recording a winning record his final two years, including a 2015 NCAA Division I playoff appearance.

Last month, Lenoir participated in the Chicago Bears rookie camp. Dallas went 13-3 last year in the regular season but fell in the Divisional round of the playoffs.
