MACOMB, IL - Western Illinois Football continues to build momentum this offseason, adding a new wave of talent through both high school recruiting and the transfer portal as the Leathernecks prepare for the next chapter of the program.

The latest recruiting class reflects a balanced approach, combining high school prospects from across the region with experienced transfers who bring added depth, competition, and immediate impact at key positions. Together, the group underscores a commitment to athleticism, versatility, and long-term development as the program continues to take shape throughout the offseason.

With offseason workouts underway, the Leathernecks remain focused on strengthening the roster, developing returning players, and building cohesion as preparations continue for the upcoming season.

The newest members of the Leatherneck family will be formally introduced at a Signing Day event for high school athletes on Tuesday, February 4, at 6:00 p.m. at Sports Corner. The event will celebrate local student-athletes who have officially committed to continue their football careers at Western Illinois. Family, friends, and fans are invited to attend and join in recognizing the dedication and achievements of these student-athletes as they take the next step in their football journey with the Leathernecks.
