Macomb, Ill. - Western Illinois University Football is proud to recognize alumnus Frisman Jackson, who will coach in the Super Bowl as the wide receivers coach for the Seattle Seahawks.
Jackson, a former Leatherneck standout and 2001 graduate of Western Illinois, is currently in his second season with Seattle's coaching staff. As the Seahawks prepare for football's biggest stage, WIU Football celebrates the accomplishment of one of its own reaching the pinnacle of the sport.
Jackson played for Western Illinois from 2000–01 and ranks among the program's most accomplished receivers, finishing his career among the school's leaders in yards per reception. Following his playing career, he transitioned into coaching, beginning at his alma mater before working his way through the collegiate and professional ranks.
His coaching career has included stops at Western Illinois, Northern Illinois, Rutgers, and NC State before entering the NFL, where he has coached with the Tennessee Titans, Carolina Panthers, Pittsburgh Steelers, and now the Seattle Seahawks.
As Seattle prepares for the Super Bowl, Leatherneck Nation will be cheering on one of its own from the sidelines.
