Leatherneck Football Launches Player Enhancement Fund

MACOMB, IL – Western Illinois University Football has announced the launch of the Player Enhancement Fund, a fundraising initiative designed to enhance the overall student-athlete experience for Leatherneck football players.

The fundraiser will officially begin on February 4 and run through April 25, with a goal of raising $125,000 by kick off of the 2026 Bruce Craddock Memorial Spring Football Game. Funds raised through the Player Enhancement Fund will directly support resources and opportunities that contribute to the development, well-being and success of WIU football student-athletes both on and off the field.

The campaign will culminate during a celebratory weekend highlighted by two major events. The 11th Annual Rock's Gridiron Golf Classic will be held on Friday, April 24, followed by the Western Illinois Bruce Craddock Memorial Spring Football Game on Saturday, April 25.

Supporters, alumni and members of the Leatherneck community are encouraged to participate in the fundraiser and help reach the $125,000 goal ahead of the spring game weekend. Contributions to the Player Enhancement Fund play a vital role in continuing to elevate the Western Illinois football program and the experience of its student-athletes.
