Graduated golfers Jessica Knepp and Ashley Jeffers, along with junior Anna Cullinan and sophomore Allie Leingang represented Western on the list

CORAL SPRINGS, Fla. - The Western Illinois women's golf team had four of its members recently named 2014-15 Women's Golf Coaches Association (WGCA) All-American Scholars. WIU graduates Ashley Jeffers and Jessica Knepp earned the honor, along with junior Anna Cullinan and sophomore Allie Leingang.

"It takes dedication to your studies to be phenomenal students while representing your school in a Division I sport like Western Illinois University. I'm very proud of our four young ladies with their academic and athletic achievements. Two have graduated in Jessica and Ashley, and the other two, Anna and Allie, will continue their careers at WIU this coming fall," said head coach Lia Biehl Lukkarinen.

Knepp, Jeffers and Cullinan also earned the honor last year. A total of 758 women's collegiate golfers across all divisions were recognized. To earn All-American Scholar honors, golfers must carry at least a 3.50 GPA.
