Western Illinois Women’s Golf Adds Mia Rowland to 2026 Signing Class

MACOMB, Ill. - Western Illinois women's golf has announced the signing of Mia Rowland, a standout golfer from Stover, Missouri, who will join the Leathernecks for the 2026 season.

Rowland, a 5-foot-6 golfer from Stover High School, brings an impressive competitive résumé to WIU. She earned a third-place individual finish at the MSHAA State Championship and helped lead her team to a fourth-place finish at the MSHAA Team State Championship. Rowland also competed on a national stage as a Notah Begay Regional Finalist, showcasing her ability to perform against elite competition.

Rowland said Western Illinois stood out to her both athletically and personally.

"I chose Western Illinois University because of its strong small-town pride and supportive community," Rowland said. "The quality facilities give me the tools to grow as a student-athlete, and the team's goals align with my competitive drive. WIU feels like the right place for me to develop, contribute, and succeed."

Rowland's competitive drive and experience at the state and regional levels position her to make an immediate impact as the Leathernecks continue building momentum for the future.

She will join Western Illinois women's golf ahead of the 2026 campaign.
