ELMHURST, Ill. - For the second consecutive week, Nathaniel Marshall has been named The Summit League's Male Indoor Track and Field Athlete of the Week. The league office announced the honor Tuesday afternoon (Feb. 18).

One week after setting a personal record in the weight throw at Southern Illinois (66' 3.75"), the senior shattered that mark with a new personal best in the weight throw this past weekend at the Monmouth Fighting Scots Indoor Invitational (67' 9").

Marshall ranks first in The Summit League in the weight throw by more than four feet, and 22nd in the nation.

This is is the second time this season Marshall has been named The Summit League's Male Indoor Track Athlete of the Week and the fourth time in his career.

Marshall and the Western Illinois track and field team travel to Iowa City, Iowa on Friday (Feb 21) for a final tune-up before The Summit League Indoor Championships in Fort Wayne, Ind. beginning on February 28th.
