MACOMB, Ill. - Head coach David Beauchem has announced the 2013-14 indoor and outdoor track and field schedules. Western Illinois has one home invitational this season, the 25th annual Lee Calhoun Memorial Invitational beginning April 10.

The indoor season begins on Dec. 6 at Iowa State University to close out 2013. Western Illinois begins the new year on Jan. 18 at the University of Illinois followed by Eastern Illinois (Jan. 25), Northern Iowa (Jan. 31) and Southern Illinois (Feb. 7).

The Leathernecks split up the next week (Feb. 14) with meets at Iowa State and at Monmouth. Final preparations for the conference championships will occur at the University of Iowa on Feb. 21. The Summit League Indoor Track and Field Championships begin Feb. 28 in Fort Wayne, Ind. with the NCAA Indoor Track and Field Championships beginning March 14 in Albuquerque, N.M.

The Leathernecks travel to Edwardsville, Ill. to kick off the the outdoor schedule on March 22. One week later, Western Illinois goes to Southern Illinois. On April 10-12, Western Illinois plays host to the 25th annual Lee Calhoun Memorial Invitational.

The Leathernecks will then travel to SIU-Edwardsville on April 19 before the Drake Relays on April 24. The outdoor season will end with meets at Northern Iowa and Illinois State.

The Summit League Outdoor Track and Field Championships will be held in Fargo, N.D. beginning May 15 with the NCAA Outdoor Track and Field West Regionals beginning May 29 in Fayetteville, Ark. and the NCAA Championships starting June 11 in Eugene, Ore.
