On the women's side, the Westerwinds defeated the Panthers 187-110.

“The women swam very well tonight,” said Western Illinois head coach Sean Raffile. “We had quite a few season bests and even some career bests, that is very encouraging for where we are at this point in the season.”

The Westerwinds were paced by senior Shannon Nelson and junior Taylor Martin, who both swam well. Nelson won the 100-yard breaststroke with a time of 1:08.86 and the 200-yard breaststroke with a time of 2:30.20. Martin won the 100-yard butterfly with a time of 1:00.42 and finished second in the 100 breastsroke in a time of 1:10.02.

Martin and Nelson teamed with Alyssa Deffner and Amanda Smith took first-place in the 200-yard medley relay. Smith also won the 50-yard freestyle and took third in the 100-yard freestyle. Smith and Martin teamed with Kaley Rowe and Gabrielle Klinefelter took first in the 400-yard freestyle relay with a time of 3:41.06.

Sophomore Jeff Davis led the men's team with two first-place individual finishes in the 1000 freestyle with a time of 9:59.66 and in the 500 freestyle with a time of 4:53.69. Jeff Davis also took second in the 200 breaststroke with a time of 2:13.74 .
