MACOMB, Ill. - The Western Illinois swimming and diving team took two victories over Monmouth College in the second meet of the season, Saturday.
Having faster times in every event, the Western Illinois women won 150-99, while the men took a 144-120 victory over the Scots.
Jennifer Madgiak highlighted top times for the women, having three. She finished with a 1:59.07 in the 200 free, a 2:14.52 in the 200 back and a 2:15.46 in the 200 IM.
Darius Wolny had top times in three events for the men's squad. His top times came in the 100 back with a 53.45, the 100 free with a 49.73 and the 200 IM with a 2:03.37.
Fourteen other Western Illinois swimmers had top times in their events with
Jeff Davis,
Taylor Martin,
Mike Regan and
Amanda Smith all having two top times.
In diving,
Molly Carrignan took first place on the 1-meter board with a 193.05.
Mikala Mareno took second place with a 184.90 and
Stephanie Roley took third place with a 176.30. In men's 1-meter diving,
Anthony Holzhauer took first place with a 320.65 and
Eric Campbell took second with a 287.15.
The Westerwinds compete next Friday, November 2, in a meet against Illinois State in Normal, Ill., at 5 p.m.
