MACOMB, IL – The Leathernecks were off this past weekend. Prior to the break, Western Illinois competed at the Pacesetter Invitational in Terre Haute, Indiana, as well as the Viking Olympics at Augustana—where they will return to competition this week. Senior Rayvon Wright highlighted the Pacesetter Invitational by capturing the triple jump title with a mark of 14.22 meters. On the women's side, senior Maleigha Huston delivered a strong performance, placing second in the 800 meters with a time of 2:13.64 at the same meet. 

The Leathernecks now head back to Augustana to compete in the Meet of Champions in Rock Island, IL.
