MACOMB, IL – The Western Illinois University track and field team is set for its first two outdoor meets of the season at the Distance Carnival hosted by Wash U before heading to the Big Blue Classic hosted by Eastern Illinois. The team will split into two teams this week, with the Distance Carnival on March 26-27 and the Big Blue Classic on March 27-28.

Schools competing at the Distance Carnival include a wide range of programs such as Washington University in St. Louis, the University of Illinois Chicago, Loyola University Chicago, Bradley University, Drake University, Marquette University, the University of Tulsa, the University of Memphis, South Dakota State University, Illinois State University, Western Illinois University, Indiana State University, Southern Illinois University, Saint Louis University and the University of Missouri–Kansas City, along with numerous NCAA Division I, II and III institutions, NAIA programs and club teams from across the country.
