Matchup

Last Time Out
Western Illinois women's basketball went the distance on the road, pushing UT Martin to double overtime before falling 86–78 on Jan. 1 at the Kathleen and Tom Elam Center. Mia Nicastro led the Leathernecks with 25 points and 13 rebounds, while Addi Brownfield added 21 points and 11 boards. WIU erased multiple deficits throughout the contest and forced overtime on a late three-pointer by Brownfield, but UT Martin pulled away in the second extra period.
Scouting the Redhawks
Southeast Missouri enters the 2025-26 season looking to take a step forward with a mix of returning experience and new faces under head coach Briley Palmer. The Redhawks are led by veteran guard Lexi McCully, a consistent scorer and strong free-throw shooter, while Ainaya Williams anchors the interior with her rebounding and shot-blocking presence. SEMO added depth through transfers across the lineup and will look to play a balanced offensive attack while relying on interior defense and physical play in the paint.
