MACOMB, Ill. – Western Illinois women's basketball reached a milestone on December 22 as Addi Brownfield scored the 1,000th point of her collegiate career during the Leathernecks' contest against SIUE at Western Hall.
Brownfield eclipsed the 1,000-point mark with a basket in the 2nd quarter, becoming the latest Leatherneck to join the program's 1,000-point club. The achievement highlights her consistency and impact throughout her career in Purple and Gold.
A steady presence in the backcourt, Brownfield has been a key contributor for WIU, known for her scoring ability, leadership, and competitiveness. Her milestone comes as a testament to the work she has put in over her career and the role she continues to play for the Leathernecks.
Brownfield finished the game with 12 points, helping lead Western Illinois against SIUE to a win.
Western Illinois women's basketball continues conference play on January 1st when the Leathernecks hit the road to face UT Martin.
