MACOMB, Ill. - Western Illinois University women's basketball standout Allie Meadows has been named the Ohio Valley Conference Student-Athlete of the Week, presented by Jostens, the league office announced this week.
The senior guard from DeWitt, Iowa, continues to excel both on and off the court, earning recognition from the OVC for her strong start to the 2025-26 season and her commitment to academic success.
On the court, Meadows has been a key contributor to the Leathernecks' impressive start, helping WIU to a 10-1 record while averaging 8.0 points, 1.9 assists, and 1.6 rebounds per game, and connecting on 15 three-pointers through early December. In the classroom, Meadows earned a spot on the OVC Commissioner's Honor Roll last season, underscoring her dedication to academic achievement alongside athletic success.
Meadows, a senior guard for the Leathernecks, has been a steady presence throughout her collegiate career, combining sharp shooting and intelligent playmaking with strong academic performance.
