MACOMB, Ill.- The Western Illinois Men's Soccer team has added goalkeeper Drew Heller to its 2025 signing class. Heller, a Jefferson City, Missouri native, brings a strong presence in net and adds depth to the Leathernecks' back line.
Heller attends Jefferson City High School, where he has been a key piece of the defense throughout his high school career. He also competes at the club level for St. Louis Scott Gallagher in the MLS NEXT program—one of the most competitive youth development platforms in the country.
Heller will graduate in May 2025 and is expected to bring a competitive edge and composure between the posts as Western Illinois continues to build a strong defensive core.
"We are very please to add Drew to our 2025 incoming class. Drew is a committed student-athlete with all the qualities to succeed here at Western Illinois. Drew is a proven leader and will also impact our chances of winning an OVC Championship. He currently is competing with one of the top youth teams in the Midwest with St. Louis Scott Gallagher in the MLSNext Academy team," Head Coach Dr. Eric Johnson said.
