MACOMB, Ill. — Western Illinois men's and women's golf have officially released their 2026 spring schedules, featuring a competitive slate of regional and national tournaments as the Leathernecks gear up for another strong season in the Ohio Valley Conference.
Both programs will open their spring campaigns in March and compete in five events leading into the OVC Championships.
MEN'S GOLF SCHEDULE BREAKDOWN
The Leatherneck men open the season March 8–10 at the 2026 Jackrabbits Invite, kicking off a challenging road-heavy schedule. Western Illinois then heads to the Keene Trace Collegiate on March 23–24 before returning home for one of the marquee events of the year — the WIU Intercollegiate, hosted April 1–3.
The squad closes out tournament play at the Hawkeye Invite April 19–21 before traveling to the OVC Championships, set for April 25–29.
WOMEN'S GOLF SCHEDULE BREAKDOWN
WIU women's golf begins its 2026 spring schedule March 28–31 at the 7th Annual Lamar Cardinal Challenge. The Leathernecks then host their home event, the WIU Intercollegiate, from April 1–3.
From there, Western Illinois continues the month with the 2026 YSU Spring Invite (April 4–6) and the 2026 Murray State Jan Weaver Invite (April 10–12). Postseason play begins April 18–21 as the Leathernecks compete for a conference title at the OVC Championships.
With balanced mixes of home events, regional competition, and high-level tournament fields, both programs are positioned for strong momentum heading into the championship season. The 2026 schedules offer opportunities for development, exposure, and continued growth within the OVC landscape.
