Lindenwood Recap
Western Illinois women's soccer dropped a 1-0 decision to Lindenwood on Sunday afternoon at John MacKenzie Alumni Field. Lindenwood's Maddy Vasiloff provided the lone goal of the match in the 31st minute, putting the visitors on top 1-0 — a lead they would hold for the remainder of regulation. Goalkeeper Ariel Bernard anchored the Leathernecks defensively, registering five saves while facing 19 total shots from the Lions.

Conference Standings
The Leathernecks are still searching for that first conference win of the year. Despite sitting at the bottom of the OVC standings, Western Illinois has shown fight recently with the most recent match being a 1-0 defeat. With the season winding down these next two away games will be key in finishing the season strong.

Offensive Threats
Abigail Schilling has been a steady force for the Leathernecks this season, leading the team in both goals and points as a freshman while appearing in every match. Fellow attacker Claire Brown is in a tie with Kayla Turner for second on the team in goals.

Scouting Little Rock (5-3-5)
Little Rock enters the matchup with a 5-3-5 overall record and remains unbeaten in Ohio Valley Conference play at 3-0-3. The Trojans have been one of the more consistent teams in the league this season, earning results through a balanced style that emphasizes defensive organization and quick counterattacks. As Western Illinois looks to secure its first conference win, slowing down the Trojans' transition play and taking advantage of set pieces could be crucial against a team that has proven difficult to break down defensively.

Scouting UT Martin (1-7-7)
UT Martin enters the matchup with a 1‑7‑7 overall record and a 0‑3‑3 mark in Ohio Valley Conference play. The Skyhawks have struggled to find consistent success this season, scoring just eight goals in 15 matches while allowing 36, which averages out to nearly 2.6 goals against per game. As Western Illinois prepares to face them, taking advantage of offensive chances and maintaining disciplined pressure could be key to breaking through against a team that has struggled to find consistency on both ends of the field.
