BaseMACOMB, Ill. – Join the Western Illinois baseball team and Head Coach Terry Davis on Saturday, February 1, 2025, for their annual First Pitch Dinner.

This year's event will be held at Park Place of Macomb. Special guest Larry Owens will be present for a round table-style discussion. Owens has over 30 years of experience in the game of baseball, including stints with the Chicago White Sox and Boston Red Sox. Prior to his time in Major League Baseball, Owens coached collegiately at Memphis, Austin Peay, Louisville, and Missouri State, and spent one summer in the prestigious Cape Cod League.

In addition to a round table discussion with Owens, the night will also feature a silent auction and dinner.

"We are so excited and thankful to have Coach Owens join us for our annual First Pitch Dinner," said Head Baseball Coach Terry Davis. "Not only will this be a great opportunity for our team to interact with someone who has seen every level of baseball but an outstanding event for the community of Macomb as well. As we continue to build a program, it is very important that we surround ourselves with people who have been successful at the highest level and this is another opportunity for us to do that."

The schedule for the evening is as follows: 

• 6:00 p.m. - Doors open, silent auction begins, and cash bar open

• 7:00 p.m. - Dinner served 

• 8:00 p.m. - Program begins 

Individual tickets can be purchased for $80 each, or attendees can reserve a table for eight people for $600 ($75 per person).
